About Tiffany Thomas LPCC-S, PMH-C

Hi, I'm Tiffany.

I know how challenging this is because I’ve been there.

First, you should be so proud of yourself for taking the initial step of even exploring options to seek help. I've been in the same shoes that you're currently in, on the other side of this screen, searching for a therapist that I felt was a good fit for me. Transitioning to a mother of two was probably one of the hardest of my life, and in the midst of my own battle with postpartum depression and anxiety, spent hours reading therapy profiles and websites hoping to find one that spoke to me.

Instead, I found a gap that highlighted such a drastic need for those specializing in the struggles surrounding motherhood. So whatever challenges you are facing- whether you are in the planning stages of becoming a mother, currently in the midst of pregnancy, transitioning into the postpartum period with its potential challenges, or well into the years of motherhood balancing the stressors of parenthood, welcome. You are seen, valued, and please remember, how resilient you are.

My journey as a therapist, and as a mother of three, has brought me to this place right now, opening Oak Haven Counseling, which I sometimes refer to as my fourth baby. Together, these roles have given me first hand understanding surrounding the intertwining complexities of some of the most joyous days and hardest days of your life. My mission is simple: to walk alongside women as they navigate the emotional challenges associated with planning for motherhood, pregnancy, postpartum, and navigating the pressures of all you have to carry in motherhood.

"Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had, and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed."

my philosophy

I believe in…

𑁍 The importance of cultivating a judgement-free, safe space where you can be seen, validated, and share life’s challenges.

𑁍 The growth that comes from self-compassion and letting go of guilt and shame.

𑁍 The transformative impact of prioritizing needs and setting realistic expectations for ourselves.

𑁍 The personalization of treatment goals, tailored to your unique needs and challenges that are being faced.

𑁍 The journey in balancing motherhood in addition to our other identities, because let’s face it, some days it feels like we never take the motherhood “hat” off.
